Fokker D.21 Update 13 June 2026

During preparations for the Fokker D.21 229 for Historic Heroes, an issue was identified with the flap system. This issue requires attention before the aircraft can be returned to full operational service. We are currently awaiting the necessary parts. Our technical committee has explored all possible alternatives, but unfortunately, no feasible alternative solution has been found within the short timeframe leading up to June 13. For our organization, flight safety always takes precedence over time constraints and the schedule, especially when it comes to an extremely unique historic aircraft like the Fokker D.21. The aircraft will therefore not fly, but it will be on display during the event with two scheduled engine runs.
